Buyer FAQs
What happens once I have bought an outfit?
Once you have bought an outfit online, the seller has 5 days to deliver the outfit to us. We will perform our routine quality checks and package up the item, ready for you to re-love. You should receive the item/s within 10-14 working days.
If we have the item in our studio, we will check and package the item once we receive your order. You should receive the item/s within 5-7 working days.
How do I know if the item will fit?
The key to a stunning South Asian outfit is the fit. We provide you with the assurance that each item has detailed outfit measurements, including information about additional material or ‘margin’ if you need to make the size larger. Please note, this information is an approximation and is measured by each seller.
If you’d like to try on an outfit before purchasing then you can make an appointment in our studio to look at and try on any outfits that catch your eye. All outfits in our studio have an ‘In Studio’ tag.
Can I try items on?
Yes, we have a studio where we showcase over 100 outfits. We have a dedicated team ready to offer you a one-to-one appointment, where you can try on outfits and take a look at our range.
All outfits in our studio have an 'In Studio' tag online, so you will know exactly what we have in store before you visit us.
Please note that all studio visits require an appointment. You can book your appointment here.
Can I make an offer for an item?
The beauty of our platform is that we do all the negotiation for you. Every listing is given a valuation before it goes online, so we already negotiate on behalf of the buyer to make the process quicker and easier for everyone.
How do you define the condition of each outfit?
- New (with tags): The outfit has not been worn before, it has the original label and is in perfect condition.
- New (without tags): The outfit has not been worn before, is missing the original label but is in perfect condition. Some of these items may be sample pieces from boutiques.
- Excellent Condition: The outfit has been worn a handful of times and has kept very well. The outfit is not damaged at all, and has no defects.
- Good Condition: The outfit has been worn several times but is well maintained. The outfit may have slight defects as a result of being worn. These will be mentioned in the description.
- Fair Condition: The item has been worn frequently and shows defects from wear. The defects will be specified in the description and will be reflected in the price.
I have placed an order, but I have not received a confirmation email. What should I do?
When you place an order with us, you should receive a confirmation email with details about your order and payment method. Please check your junk emails in your mailbox. If you still cannot find our confirmation email, please contact our team hello@circular-threads.com.
Do you have a quality control policy?
At our studio, we carefully review all items after purchase and before shipping to ensure they match their online descriptions. If the item is different to what was stated in the listing, the original sale may be cancelled and we will contact the buyer and seller independently.
What if the outfit is not as described?
All items go through a routine quality check before they are sent out. However, in the unlikely event that one of the following happen, please inform our team within 48 hours if:
- You receive the wrong item
- The item is not as described on the website
- The item doesn’t arrive
Once our team has been alerted to the issue, we will promptly investigate and liaise with you and the seller to determine what happened and resolve the situation.

Do you have international shipping?
Yes, we have international shipping. Please contact the team directly prior to making an international purchase for shipping quotes. Our team is on hand to help with any questions you may have.
For orders shipped to outside of the UK, any customs charges are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the product or shipping costs. These charges vary by country and are determined by the customs authorities of the destination.

Seller FAQs
How do I sell with Circular Threads?
- Contact Us: Reach out via WhatsApp to receive a valuation for your item/s.
- Choose a Service: Select either our VIP service or our Standard service.
- Complete the Seller’s Form: After choosing your service, you will receive a form to fill out. This form will include details such as the condition of your item/s, designer or non-designer status, photos and payment information.
- Listing Goes Live: Your listing will be published on our website. If you opt for the VIP service, your item/s will also be showcased in our studio.
- Notification of Sale: We will notify you as soon as your item has been sold.
- Receive Your Funds: Once the buyer has received the item, your payment will be processed and sent to you.
What is the difference between VIP and Standard service?
We offer two types of service depending on your preferences:
VIP Service
We take care of the process for you. Once your item’s valuation has been confirmed, our in-house team will measure your item/s and ensure they meet our standards. Your item/s will be stored and displayed in our studio for 8 weeks allowing buyers to view and try them on in person. Items held in our studio are more likely to be featured on our social media, as well as taken to in-person events and pop-ups but this is not a guarantee. Once your item is sold, we will ship it directly to the buyer and you’ll receive the proceeds from the sale. We recommend this service for all high-value items.
This VIP service is available for £25 per item, with a 35% commission on sales.
Standard Service
Once your item’s valuation has been confirmed, you will measure your item/s yourself and send us information regarding the fit and quality. Our team will review the information, list your item online and once it’s sold, we will ask you to send your item/s to our studio for a final check before shipping it to the buyer. You’ll receive the proceeds from the sale once the transaction is complete.
This service comes with a 25% commission on sales.

Do you charge to list items on Circular Threads?
It is completely free to list your item on Circular Threads using our Standard service. If you wish to use our VIP service, this comes with a fee of £25 per item.
Please note commission taken on the sale is either 25% (Standard) or 35% (VIP) depending on the service you choose.
What are the Seller fees?
Standard Service - Listing your item is free, Circular Threads takes 25% from the Seller when a purchase transaction is made.
VIP Service - Listing your item is £25, Circular Threads takes 35% from the Seller when a purchase transaction is made.
Please note, the commission is deducted from the final sale price, it is not added on top of the sale price.
For example, for an item that is sold at £100, our commission for a:
- Standard seller will be £25 (25%) and your take home price will be £75.
- VIP Seller, the commission will be £35 (35%) and your take home price will be £65.
What information do I need to provide?
We will ask you for:
- Details about your outfit (e.g. condition, no. of pieces, designer or non designer)
- Measurements and sizing
- Photos
- Payment details for transferring the proceeds of the sale to you
Tip: The better and more specific your information (especially photos), the higher chance your outfit will sell. Please note, we do not accept photos of items on the hanger.
Do you only take designer outfits?
We are open to designer and non-designer outfits. All items go through our valuation process, and if our team believes your item has a chance of selling, we’ll gladly list it.
How should I photograph my outfits?
Feel free to take pictures and videos on your smartphone and upload them directly to our Seller’s form. For best results, we suggest:
- Photos of the outfit being worn (this can be a modelled image or yourself)
- Photos on a clear background
- Take the photograph at eye level
- Take photos in natural daylight
- Include a detailed video
Please note, we require a minimum of 3 images for each listing and we do not accept the following types of photos:
- Images of outfits on hangers: Outfits must be modelled in at least two photos.
- Emojis, shapes, or scribbles over the face: If you prefer not to show your face, please crop the photo accordingly.
Do items require dry cleaning before listing?
Yes - all items must be dry cleaned before listing. If an item is new and hasn’t been worn then it doesn’t need to be dry cleaned. If an item has been sold without being cleaned, you will be charged a fee after the verification process, and the item will be returned to the seller.
How do I pack and deliver my item once sold?
If you have used our VIP service, our team will pack and ship your item on your behalf and you will be notified of the sale.
If you have used our Standard service, once your item has sold, you will have 3 days to deliver the item to a Circular Threads Studio. The item must be packaged securely to avoid any damages during delivery. Please note, if you miss this time-frame, your sale will be cancelled and you may be restricted in the future. Our team will check if your item aligns with the listing before sending it to the buyer.
Circular Threads is not liable for any damages occurred during shipment from the Seller to a Circular Threads studio. The seller must take a detailed video of the item before delivery.
Delivery options:
Send your item/s to us yourself: We advise using delivery that is next-day guaranteed, and fully tracked, and always ensure insurance cover is equivalent to the RRP of the item. If your item is sent out without the correct insurance cover, you will be liable for the cost of the item RRP.
Drop to studio: Feel free to book a drop-off appointment and bring the outfit directly to our studio. Please get in touch with us if you require this option.
When can I expect to receive my funds for the item?
Once the item has been delivered, we give the buyer 48 hours to let us know if they have any issues with the item. Provided there are no issues, funds will be transferred to the Seller’s account after this period and will take up to 28 days to appear in the account.
What happens if my item doesn’t sell?
If your item hasn’t sold for a while, we may advise you to make slight changes to your item description, take new photos or lower the price.
If you have opted for our VIP service, after 8 weeks, you will be contacted to collect your item. Your item will remain online and our commission will remain at 35%.
How does the £25 VIP Service listing fee work?
You will need to pay just £25 to list your outfit on our VIP service, regardless of how many pieces it includes.
For example, if your outfit consists of a skirt, top, and dupatta, the total cost to list it will still be £25, not £75. Our VIP service fee is based on the outfit as a whole, not individual items.
Does Circular Threads buy the outfits from me?
No, we do not buy the outfits from you. We will only make a transfer of funds minus the commission if the item is sold.
